This video describes how a good model of the drone and the environment it operates in can be used for simulation and test. It shows how nonlinear and linear models are both needed for designing and testing the flight control software. We also walk through an example in Simulink and describe one approach to creating and organizing a quadcopter model. By the end, we demonstrate how that model matches the real flight test that we ran in the last video.
